Festival Of Speed - Newtownards
Quick Introduction first of all, My names Bob and I'm the REO for Nothern Ireland. Ive been meaning to post these pictures for a few weeks now, but finally they are here.
One of the biggest motorsport events returned to Newtownards Air Field again this year for Drift and Drag entertainment. Some awesome fast and sideways cars (and bikes) out on the day. including an Evo which I'm told is 996bhp. It certainly moved like it.
Just a few snaps for now, Ill add more later
Fueltopia Barrel Sprint
Just thought id let everyone know about sundays (19th) antics !
Myself and my team mate joey took part in the 5th round of the Fueltopia Barrel Sprint at Santa Pod http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=2H1Fmo5eIkI
There were 24 entrants with the top 16 going through to the knockout stages
I was driving my 200sx s14a(green wheels) and joey driving his (yellow wheels)
All morning was practise and with temperatures running into the high 30s we were fast running out of tires i had managed to get the 4th fastest time and Joey was 12th not bad on part worn 16s !!
After dinner it was qualifying so with 20 minutes remaining we choose to swap onto our 18s to try and get some better traction it worked and after 3 runs and the time up i had qualified 8th and Joey 6th .. there is a twist in all this though! Stephen "Baggsy" Biagioni (Team Japspeed and super pro BDC driver ) was sharing my car and he managed to qualify 7th but in the top 16 draw were up against each other in the same car !!
Baggsy opted for Joeys car in our battle and we pulled upto the line, it was close but yeah you guessed it he beat me by one and a half seconds ...i put it down to him having a welded diff and not a lack of talent on my part .... so he was through !! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkDCW1vwdhs
Joey stepped up and won his battle comfortably and was up against Baggsy in the next round !!
Baggsy back in my car and Joey in his they squared up and after the obligotory doughnuts, the flag dropped and they were off ....well Baggsy was but a car faliure meant Joey limped off and Baggsy show boated his way into the semis !! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlIbCYmgC7k ( sorry about the quality )
So the semis came and baggsy narrowly lost so was into the 3rd place battle which he lost (:P) .....but WAIT ....the other guy hit a barrel so incurred a penalty of 2seconds which meant he got a 3rd place and a spot on the podium !!!!
He then went on to sign the trophy and donate it to doris the drifter awwww
Over all it was a fantastic day and run extremely well !!! i would recommend it to anyone !!
Our next competition is Gymkhana Grid at trax up against the big boys ....wish us luck !!!

Introduction from Tim @ Fourinstance/UK-MKIVS
Hi guys, i'm Tim and i'm your South London REO!
As a big fan of SFS and their products, i'm delighted and honoured to take up this role, and hopefully help with keeping you all up to date with new products, events, and suchlike!
I'm a diehard VAG fanboy, particularly the MKIV Golf/Bora platform (because i lack imagination, like a solid car that'll take a bit of abuse, and critically, love the PD diesels).
My weapon of choice is a previously 130BHP Bora TDI, which nowadays (and with no small part to SFS' help) runs closer to 230BHP.
I run/help run a number of meets in and around London, including KrispyKreme New-Malden, Newlands Corner, West-End-Dubs at Earls Court, and the HOMEgrown meet over in Beaconsfield. For VAG meet news, come find me on Facebook!
I'm usually found tinkering in my engine bay at these meets, proudly wearing the SFS logo, so if you need anything, please come and find me!
Also, a quick SFS event coming up, we've got a rolling-road day going at Surrey Rolling Road scheduled for the 8th of September. To get involved, come hit us up on the UK-MKIVS forum , and get your name down!
For now, peace out, and speak to you all soon!
Ryan/Ramair Filters LTD - South Central REO
I attend a few events around my REO area and will be covering the events with my photographer friend so expect some cool shots! I also got to quite a few race meets on Ramair's behalf to see our products in action the most recent was the FIA Formula 2 & 3 championship round at Brand Hatch.
Next event on my calender which I'll be attending is Trax so will hopefully see the rest of the REO's there for our little BBQ!
Hopefully this is enough of an introduction and stay tuned to this site for some of the events going on in the South Central region!
Over and out!

Introduction from TrackWeapon Ltd.
Hello everyone, I'm Chris and I'm the REO for North Scotland and I'm based in Edinburgh. I'm the director of TrackWeapon Ltd. I've Been really busy setting up the company and also working full time for a large automotive company. In between all that recently I visited Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium for the 24 Hours of Spa and it was truly epic. Add to that a quick swing by the Nurburgring and you get one amazing holiday. Now that I'm back from holidays I'll be getting involved with more regional events in Scotland. I spend a lot of my weekends at Knockhill either on trackdays or spectating and taking photos.
TrackWeapon will soon be fully operational as an online retailer of performance car parts. Our moto is "Street car, track car - same car" and we aim to supply parts that let you have a street legal and track functional car in one. More updates on this soon.
One thing I knew from the start was that if a car is going to be track weapon it needs to be reliable and heat management is a big part of this. That's why we contacted SFS Performance hoses and are very pleased to be part of their network and very thankful for all their support so far.
Volkswagen Northwest 2012
Been a while since i've updated this so thought i'd start with Volkswagen Northwest. This is an annual show held at Tatton Park. Admission is usually around £7 and kids go free so it's a cheap family day out :)
There are Club Stands, Trade Stands, Concourse Areas, an area for "For sale cars", childrens amusements, food & drink and much much more on the day!
The range of VW's is pretty impressive too, from golden oldies to brand newies!
I've added a few pictures which i think do the talking :)
South Scotland REO
Thought I’d take this opportunity to introduce myself, I’m shaz and REO for south of Scotland but based in Kilmarnock. As like the others I got this position through the Facebook competition so really have you lot to thank for spending your time voting (even if it did require a lot of moaning in peoples ears).
As for my cars, some of you may already know my retro mk3 supra and r33 gtst Skyline which is now fully kitted out with SFS hoses so will be at most events.
I have been attending shows and meets throughout the country so some of you may already know me. If not I look forward to meeting you at future shows, meets and rolling roads. Events already planned are Total Jap car at Knockhill on the 19th August and a Rolling Road Day on the 22nd September, so pop along and say hi.
Scottish Car Show 2012
The Scottish Car Show - Sunday, 15th of July 2012
Over 15,000 visitors descended on The Royal Highland Centre for 2012’s Scottish Car Show
This year the show broke all records with more visitors, more cars (over 1,300) and more owners clubs involved than ever before!
For 2012 the show organisers shook things upincluding double the live action with European Drift Champion Mark Luney and his 900bhp Supra and his drift shows while motorcycle stunt rider Kevin Carmichael performed death defying stunts. Furthermore the Drift was in the second live action arena with 15 cars taking passengers for some sideways action round the track.
Indoors was packed with cars, displays and traders! This year the Top 50 had everything from Cadillac to JUN tuned Nissan GTR.
Families were also looked after with loads of activities for kids of all ages including a petting zoo, magician, fairground attractions, face painting, magic shows and a robot entertainer. To top it all off the Amy rolled in with its massive tanks on display.
With 2012 being a huge success the organisers are already planning on making 2013 even better!
Here is a link to some of the pics from the day.
Kyle - Northwest REO
Well hello there Guys & Gals..
I'm Kyle, the bald spotty bloke, appointed by the good folk at SFS to be the Regional Events Organiser for the northwest of England.
I got here by winning a vote on Facebook, i entered the competition late due to being on holiday and was a little gutted to say the least thinking I'd never win so i spent quite a few hours maybe even days of my life mithering and bugging people to vote for me :) and here i am.
In my role as REO i am to attend Shows, meets, cruises etc in the Northwest and basically spread the SFS name. (now i have an excuse when the missus tries to put her foot down) and also organise events such as RR Days. Being a petrol head this isn't such a bad role eh?
Although im more of a VAG man myself I have a massive interest in all "scenes" of the automotive/motorsport world.
I've added a few progress pictures (more to follow) of my motor, commonly known as "Ze Golfy Beast". I have several SFS products on her including Braided brake lines, Boost Pipework and a Gorgeous carbon fibre engine cover.
I will be attending Trax in September so come and say Hello :)

UK Street Cars Rolling Road Day & Charity Bikini Car Wash for Meningitis UK @ RGS Motorsport
Saturday 21st July 2012
A great start to the day as the sun was out, we travelled upto RGS Motorsport in Wellingborough for this double event.
10.00am and the cars started to turn up filling the car park very quickly, the promo girls had donned their bikinis and meningitis T-shirts ready for a hard days work cleaning the cars. There was a good range of vehicles at the event giving everyone lots to look at.
RGS then began the dyno runs for all that had signed up, a little slow at first as no one wanted to be the first but it then picked up and the battle commenced. The cars were first taken into the workshop and weighed on corner weights before being driven into the dyno room.
Whilst this was taking place the UK Street Cars Promo girls along with Richard Halfday Photography began their part of the event cleaning all the cars that had purposly not been washed.
As the day went on more people and cars arrived the dyno got busier and so did the car wash, the poor girls battled on in the heat and did a great job making sure the cars were clean.
Later on in the afternoon trophies started to get awarded for :-
Best I.C.E, Best Paint, Best Engine Bay, Car of the Day & Outright Power.
The winners were
Best I.C.E:- Paul Studd Seat Cupra
Best Paint:- Jake Vickers Ford Fiesta
Best Engine:- Michael Lewis Nissan 200sx S14a
Outright Power:- Robert Greensmith Nissan R33 Skyline GTs-T ( 417hp)
Car of the Day:- Vauxhall Astra Coupe 888 Ltd Edition
The day came to a close around 18.30 and what a great day it was.
Big thanks to all those that attended, well done to the UKSC promo girls for their hard work in the hot weather, congrats to all the winners and Big thanks to Brian at RGS Motorsport.
In total UKSC managed to raise £126.26 for the Meningitis charity.
Now for some pics of the day :)

Introducing Nick Rees South Wales REO
Well i have been around here for a while now and an introduction is long overdue, Now the web boffin has woven his magic memory stick. I have the interweb powerz to create these wonderful little snippets of joy for all of you to peruse at your pleasure...Granted none of them will be to the high standards of E.L.James and his 50 shades BUT bear with me as my car is some times as dirty as his wonderful modern day razzle.
Anyway..... Im the appointed South Wales area REO for SFS. I was instated after many weeks of hassling everyone i know (and many more that i don't know) to vote for me, This was in what seemed to be a never ending Face Book competition.
Now im in the regional driving seat so to speak... Im tasked with getting to as many events as possible within my area and spreading the SFS brand to as wider audience as possible, no mean feat with the fantastic summer weather we have been having since erm well the dawn of time it feels like...
I have added a few shots of the car that won me the position i now find myself in. Although im currently frantically working away at it in an effort to get it back together.
After a little coming together with a corner marker at Blyton Park Driving Centre last weekend, Its wearing a few battle scars that need to be removed for another local event occurring next weekend.... Nothing like a deadline to make you work quicker ehy....
More on Blyton Park later this month and also more on the upcoming shows.
Nick (The Greek) Rees peace out.
Singleton Park Swansea 2012
This annual show is a highly popular event among car enthusiasts and the general public alike. It is held in Singleton Park Swansea and attracts well over 1,000 exhibits including examples of veteran, vintage and classic cars, lorries and buses, stationary engines, tractors, military vehicles, motor bikes, pedal cycles, fire engines, traction engines and a large auto jumble. But it's not all about vehicles as there is a full entertainment programme including live music, face painting, hot and cold food stalls and a fun fair. This is a popular day out for all the family that always attracts large crowds.
It has a growing interest with the local modified car scene and the welcome we get as outsiders to the general exhibits is fantastic, most of the interest is from the classic/vintage owners that are amazed at the modern developments in engines/and general availability of parts, and the time/money spent on our cars.
Modified Live At Knockhill
Modified Live is a full on day for any level of petrolhead. I don’t like the phrase “something for everyone” but this time...yeah. Club and trade stands, Pickup Truck Racing, Honda Civic Cup, Time Attack Round 2 and the European Drift Championship.
I arrived just in time to hear the end of a round of drifting, so I set my sights on the paddock to get some snaps of the awesome array of cars on show.
Then moved on to the impressive Club stands all with a great turnout!
For me though, the day was about action, so after the pickups had finished their round, the Time Attack folks came out to play. 2 classes were run Club and Pro, and the Pro stuff was noticeably faster and more dramatic, take the Team Militek GTR for example.
Gavin Renshaws Evo was also a stand out car as one of the fastest going, pretty hard to get pictures of it at any straight of Knockhill. Aside from these two in the Pro class there was equally cool and favourable cars in the club class, I took a shine to this blue FN2 Civic Type R... and this Porsche 993 Turbo, not the most common sight for Time Attack. Something about the Time Attack Championship really appeals to me, I can see an attempt at a One Hit Wonder (OHW) in the near future.
Then we got some action from the Civic Cup, the cars are so close in terms of performance that it takes a stand out amount of driving skill and track knowledge to gain places. The leader of this race and skill and knowledge in bucket loads apparently, pulling well ahead of every other car by a big jump each lap. We clocked his split time at over 18 seconds at one point.
Then some more pickup racing, interesting to watch but not so much photo so here’s another paddock picture of some typical Time Attack aero. European Drift Championships was one of the big pulls of the day for me. Semi finals were settled quite quickly but the finals were going one more time 3 times or more! 3 tyre changes for one competitor! You can see why though, it was seriously close competiton battles for all positions: 3rd and 4th and 1st and 2nd.
In the end the BC Racing S15 took the win. Consistent, stylish and close following (above) bagged it.
Time Attack came out for their finals after this, which ended with a pretty mega crash right in front of us from the Eurospec Time Attack Team CRX leaving 1:25 on the clock. No pictures myself but here's one from my friend Martin Woods (have a look at his photos, really nice stuff!) According to their Twitter feed, car isn’t that bad and they’re taking it to another level with the rebuild, slicks and dry sump have been mentioned, great stuff!
TrackScotland Track Day at Knockhill 10th March
Writing this up slightly later than expected but looking through the pictures I snapped on the day all the days events quickly come flooding back.
The trackday had already been re-scheduled due to bad weather back in February so we were itching to get out on track to test out the strut brace on the Celica and more importantly the engine on the Civtegra.
There was a great selection of cars that turned up for the day, a lot of them on trailers or in the back of trucks/vans. It was a pretty daunting arriving to a sea of very professional looking cars/teams.
Things like this Civic sporting a genuine BTCC rear wing and this very tidy (and very slidy) Escort.
Cars joining us on track included various Skylines, R33 and R32 as well as a R35 GT-R, 2 e46 BMW M3 CSLs, a selection of Evos, some of the Scottish MINI racers, a variety of Peugeots such as 306 GTI-6 and a track-prep 106 known as Hulk. VW Corrado, a fair few Starlets, some MX-5s, a turbo CRX, a Silvia Spec-S and a Caterham R400. There's probably some I missed there but the pictures should do those represented justice.
Needless to say the pit was busy all day.
Unfortunately the day for us had a bit of a black cloud over it, there were concerns with the Civtegra over-fuelling in the rev range, a possible slow puncture and a mysterious habit of it drinking coolant in the days leading up to the 10th. The day came and indeed the Civtegra had problems, the brakes despite being sourced from a V6 MG-ZS were still not quite enough to pull it up at the end of the pit straight!
Entering into the first downhill turn too fast the car almost rolled and ended up at track side having smashed the new front splitter in to and taken a tyre off the rim. A lucky escape is the general feeling towards this. It limped back up the hill on 3 tyres and was parked up for the rest of the track day. It completed only 5 laps which is a real shame. So there was a lot of stress and struggle to get the car off track which took some time.
So back to the remainder of the day, it was a fast day with a lot of big power or well prepped cars on track but I didn't feel like I had to move over much and got some good laps in! Still need to build my confidence and I hope that some fresh brakes (mines are scored and corroded slightly at the moment) will help with this.
The strut brace did help with turn in and keeping the car more level, less understeer through faster corners. Celica still rolls about a bit and the thought of coilovers hovers around me constantly.
Looking forward to the next day, have bought some new brakes for the Celica and no doubt the Civtegra will be back and stronger than ever.
Thanks for reading
